International Translation Day
International Translation Day is meant as an opportunity to pay tribute to the work of language professionals, who play an important role in bringing nations together, facilitating dialogue, understanding and cooperation, contributing to development and strengthening world peace and security.
Translators, terminologists and interpreters provide crucial services both on the front line and behind the scenes in crisis situations, so let’s celebrate our contributions amongst ourselves as well as provide the general public with information about our work
As we continue to adapt our approach to building our stakeholder base and connecting with our members, the public and industry partners, more events and activities will be planned in a digital format due to social distancing. For example, our board meetings have moved to virtual format. We are also looking at moving the annual Congress to an interactive digital format and allow the attendees to participate and be active and engaged while still remote. There will be further announecemnets for upcoming digital events.
