Interpretation Service Providers

Interpretation Service Providers (ISPs) are organizations that coordinate the provision of interpretation services with clients and interpreters. ISPs are responsible both to their clients and to the interpreters they contract or employ.

The quality and service standards that ISPs are expected to uphold are defined in the National Standard Guide for Community Interpreting Services.

The OCCI encourages ISPs to stay informed on the development of the standardized accreditation framework.

Follow the link to download a letter to ISPs explaining the requirement for documentation of hours of interpretation experience for those Interpreters who are applying for Legal and/or Medical Specialization. On behalf of the OCCI, we thank you for your cooperation in providing this documentation.
